Bloom Parham obtains Summary Judgment for Client defeating Claims of Promissory Estoppel
Bloom Parham represented a real estate and title agency in a lawsuit arising out of a simultaneous closing in which the plaintiff purchased land from a seller and, concurrently, the plaintiff sold the land to a third party. A dispute subsequently arose regarding certain escrowed funds. The plaintiff alleged that the agency breached a contract with them and raised claims under a theory of promissory estoppel. Bloom Parham moved for summary judgment, and after briefs and oral arguments, the judge entered an order granting the motion for summary judgment.
