Bloom Argues in South Carolina Supreme Court
On November 13, 2024, Bloom Parham senior partner Simon Bloom argued in the South Carolina Supreme Court. The firm’s client owns a restaurant located in Murrell’s Inlet, in Georgetown County. The client has an easement agreement for use of parking spaces during the hours which its restaurant is open. The appeal concerns whether the trial court erred in ruling that a Georgetown County ordinance permitting construction of a new, much larger building adjacent to the client’s property to be used as a restaurant that would be open at the same time and compete for the same parking did not violate the client’s easement rights. A video of the oral argument may be viewed at the link below.
