Simon Bloom Presides Over Georgia Works Ribbon Cutting at Odd Fellows Building
Georgia Works reached a significant milestone on April 1 when it opened its newly renovated residence space within the Odd Fellows building on Auburn Avenue. Simon Bloom chairs the Board of Directors of Georgia Works, and he presided over the celebration, which was attended by Mayor Andrea Dickens and Governor Brian Kemp. The Odd Fellows building will now house up to 160 participants in Georgia Works programming that has helped over 1200 individuals regain permanent housing, reconnect with family members and receive treatment for addiction. “I am so proud to be involved with Georgia Works,” said Simon. “Its programs help so many displaced men regain their footing as productive members of our community, and its results demonstrate the power that can be unleashed when city, state and community leaders rally together behind a common purpose.”
