“Lawsuit Filed Against City of Sandy Springs,” CBS 46

In a news broadcast airing on December 11, 2018, Bloom Parham partner and founder Simon Bloom discussed a federal lawsuit filed against the city of Sandy Springs due to city officials unfairly targeting Mary Hall Freedom House, a Sandy Springs-based nonprofit. The city of Sandy Springs believes Mary Hall Freedom House is providing drug rehab services at condos located less than a mile from the organization’s office where women who are part of the program live. The city has issued 34 citations in an effort to run the women out of town, according to Bloom and those at the center. “Do they have the right to limit and restrict and land use? Absolutely. But they can’t do it with an eye toward discriminating against protected classes. Women are protected. Minorities are protected. People with disabilities are protected.” You may view the full clip here.
