Emily graduated with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in International Affairs and Modern Languages, with a concentration in Spanish. From there, she worked as a Business English trainer in companies in Paris, France and Stuttgart, Germany for 7 years. She then returned to Georgia to study law at Georgia State University. While in law school, Emily competed with Mock Trial and Moot Court, interned at the Northern District of Georgia and the Georgia Court of Appeals, served as a teaching assistant for the legal writing and trial advocacy courses, and was a pupil in the Bleckley Inn of Court. She is also a member of the Order of Barristers.
Emily lives in Buckhead with her husband and very opinionated Russian Blue cat. She loves everything to do with art and culture: travel, literature, art, fashion, design, dance, and cuisine.
