Bloom Parham Notches Win at Arbitration in Purchase Sale Agreement Dispute

Bloom Parham scored a win for a residential builder who terminated a Purchase Sale Agreement with a buyer after a dispute arose between the parties.  The buyer then sued in federal court for breach of contract, fraud, and specific performance.  Bloom Parham sent the matter to arbitration, where the buyer demanded over $200,000 in damages in addition to substantial attorneys’ fees and costs.  The arbitrator rejected buyer’s demands and awarded the buyer only $1,100, as provided by the parties’ agreement, with each party to bear their own costs and attorneys’ fees.
