Troy Covington’s litigation practice has encompassed a wide variety of business litigation, including business torts, contract disputes, patent and trademark protection, corporate governance, trade secrets, franchise disputes, restrictive covenants, professional malpractice, lender liability, lease disputes, and real estate disputes, among others. Troy also has significant appellate experience, litigating cases before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh and Federal Circuits, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Troy earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, in History and Political Science from Birmingham-Southern College.
After graduating from law school, Troy clerked for the Honorable Julie E. Carnes of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Troy was named a 2012 Georgia Super Lawyers’ Rising Star.
