Stephanie Everett’s dedication to her client’s needs and commitment to success is evident every day in the way she approaches her cases. As Founding and Managing Partner of Bloom Sugarman Everett, she understands the nuts and bolts of running a business, and the pressures a business owner faces. This knowledge gives her a unique perspective when assessing and managing client issues.
Stephanie is experienced in handling a broad spectrum of complex commercial and contract litigation, and has particular experience in land use and real estate litigation. She represents real estate developers, builders, owners and brokers throughout the Southeast in areas including lender litigation, lease disputes, commission disputes, land use, eminent domain and confirmation actions. She has represented clients in several jury trials and more than 30 bench trials, and has handled numerous contested motion hearings.
After a lender conducts a non-foreclosure foreclosures sale, the lender must confirm the sale before the court before seeking a deficiency action. When it comes to defeating confirmation actions, Stephanie is well-versed in the defenses afforded her clients. She is extremely knowledgeable in appraisal methodology, often more so than most appraisers, and ensures that creditors meet their heavy legal burdens throughout the foreclosure process. This serves her and her clients well both in and out of the courtroom.
Stephanie received her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law, where she was the Symposium Editor for the Georgia State University Law Review. She is Past President of the Georgia State University College of Law Graduate Leadership Council and has been named a Georgia Super Lawyers’ Rising Star three separate times.
Stephanie is active in her community and devotes time to pro bono representations through Atlanta Legal Aid. Stephanie is on the Board of Directors for the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation – a national foundation that provides leadership programming for women; scholarships; and supports play therapy for hospitalized children.
Stephanie and her husband and daughter reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
