Si H. Bloom, Jr. spent the last twenty years serving as General Counsel to one of the world’s largest handgun manufacturers. Si oversaw hundreds of pieces of litigation during his tenure in jurisdictions throughout the United States. He supervised product liability matters, recalls, customer service issues, Human Resources matters, real estate issues and played an integral role in the management and success of one of the fastest growing and most profitable companies in this industry. Si ensured that not a single adverse judgment was entered against Taurus during his tenure due to his ability to prepare cases for successful defenses on motion and at trial as well as performing claims analysis that resulted in favorable settlements.
Prior to his representation in the firearm industry, Si was House Counsel or Outside Counsel to and for financial institutions including, national banks, Federal or State chartered savings and loans, Real Estate Investment Trusts, mortgage brokers and affiliated entities such as construction inspections and disbursement firms, title agencies, etc. In these capacities Si provided legal and business advice and direction to management and supervised the closing transactions for loans from single family homes to regional shopping center developments, warehouses, etc.
After graduating from law school, Si joined the U.S. Army Reserves and then volunteered for and received a direct commission as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General Corp. After assignment to a strategic Air command base in Georgia, he served a 1 year tour in Southeast Asia and received an Honorable Discharge as a Captain. He received a Bronze Star for Meritorious Service among other medals and awards.
Si has a history of working within the parameters of real estate and corporate law. He has supervised actions brought by and against clients in areas including commercial loans, installment loans, liens, mortgages, and foreclosures.
