Meredith H. Ragains focuses her practice on complex business litigation. She has represented large corporations, small companies, and individuals in a variety of business litigation matters. She has served as counsel on numerous class actions matters, including the class action defense of a Fortune 100 company in a nation-wide employment discrimination claim. She has defended against cases involving claims based on the False Claims Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the federal and Georgia RICO statutes.

Meredith also has extensive experience in representing defendants against claims of discrimination under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Finally, Meredith has litigated numerous matters involving general business litigation claims including breach of contract, tortious interference of contract, fraud, breach of restrictive covenants where she has represented both employers and employees, misappropriation of trade secrets, and business torts, such as breach of fiduciary duty and duty of loyalty.

Meredith attended Mercer University Law School where she was a member of the Moot Court Board. She participated in the Sutherland Cup and received commendation for oral argument. Meredith received her undergraduate degree from Emory University. After law school, Meredith served as a law clerk for the Honorable G. Ernest Tidwell of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. After her clerkship, she practiced law in the Atlanta office of the national law firm of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P., where she focused on complex business litigation. In 2009, Meredith received an award by the State Bar of Georgia’s Pro Bono Project for her outstanding work with pro bono clients.
